A process built around your situation.

Every Macaulay Consulting engagement is scoped to need. Here's what to expect from first contact to final handover.

01

A conversation

The first conversation is free and takes about half an hour. We want to hear what's going on for your organisation: the context, what's been tried and what a good outcome would look like.

02

A written scope

If we agree to go ahead, we put the engagement in writing: the approach, the deliverables, the timeline, the fee and who will be doing the work. Changes at this stage are welcome. It's far easier to get the scope right now than to fix it later.

03

The work

Some engagements are a single workshop designed and delivered within a fortnight. Others run for months with regular sessions. Either way, you work directly with Caroline and any collaborators named in the scope, and we ask for one nominated contact on your side so decisions can be made quickly.

Expect some pre-work before major sessions, a short written summary after them and an honest conversation about the scope if your context shifts along the way.

04

Closing the engagement

Every engagement has a defined close. Depending on the work, that might be a final session with the leadership team, a written report delivered to a board, a workshop that hands tools to the team carrying the work forward or a combination of these.

We complete the agreed deliverables in full, with any final revisions handled before sign-off, then hold a handover conversation to confirm what's been done, what's still underway on your side and what to do if questions come up afterwards.

The goal is to leave your organisation better equipped to continue the work on its own.

Five things we bring to every engagement

01

Clarity

Making the path forward easier to see.

02

Collaboration

The best answers come from the people in the room.

03

Compassion

How people feel shapes how change happens.

04

Playfulness

Weaving playfulness into our work makes change feel more positive and possible.

05

Positive Ripple Effects

Good work keeps working after we leave.

Caroline helped us pave the way for important changes ahead in our health service. She designed workshops that engaged everyone in the room, and kept us focussed on the key issues. With her help, we achieved the results we needed in a really positive way.
